Divine Creation

The "Divine Creation" Art Contest invites students to explore and celebrate the divine craftsmanship behind the world’s natural beauty and complexity. Through various artistic mediums, participants will reflect on the theme of divine creation—acknowledging that our world and its inhabitants are the result of an intentional and purposeful design by the Creator. This contest challenges participants to honor the divine artistry that shapes our world, rejecting the notion that the wonders of existence can be explained solely by science or human ingenuity. Artworks should convey the splendor of creation, whether through landscapes, animals, or human life, and highlight the profound connection between faith and the world around us. Scriptural Reflections: Biblical Verse: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1, NIV) Quranic Verse: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, are signs for those of understanding." (Surah Al-Imran, 3:190) Prizes: 1st Place: KD 1,000 2nd Place: KD 750 3rd Place: KD 500 Honorable Mentions: Certificates and feature in the university’s art showcase. Special Recognition: Exceptional works will be displayed permanently on campus, celebrating the divine inspiration behind the art and inspiring future generations. Submission Details: Eligibility: Open to all university students. Submission Deadline: March 16, 2025 Contact Information: divinecreation@aiu.edu.kw Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged on creativity, adherence to the theme, technical skill, and overall impact, by a panel of faculty and art professionals. Award Ceremony: We invite all participants to join us for an amazing artist speech on April 16, 2025, at 12pm and the award ceremony at 12:30 p.m. in the AIU Auditorium. We look forward to celebrating your creativity and the divine inspiration behind your artwork! Conclusion: The "Divine Creation" contest is a unique opportunity for students to reflect on and express the beauty and complexity of the world as a masterpiece of divine artistry. We look forward to seeing how you interpret the awe-inspiring wonders of creation through your art. See you at the award ceremony on April 16th!
